Stay & Play at MHA

It is with great sadness that we have had to take the decision to suspend Stay and Play at MHA for the time being. As you may be aware the Academy is undergoing building work, which has unfortunately meant that public access to the hall during the school day is not possible. We are sure that you will appreciate that our first priorities must be safeguarding our students and keeping Stay and Play families safe and, despite every effort, this is not currently possible without the Community Facility entrance being in use.

We apologise for the disappointment this will cause. We hope to welcome you all back in September 2018.

Our popular Stay & Play at MHA (formerly Parent and Toddler) Sessions are held every Wednesday morning during term time.

The sessions run from 9.15am – 11am in our Community Sports Facility.  Each session is free of charge, although a £1 donation towards refreshments is appreciated.

The sessions are suitable for parents/carers/grandparents/relatives and childminders with pre-school children.  There is plenty of space to run about, scooters and cars, plus baby toys and mats for the smaller ones, books and craft tables.  Juice and toast are provided, plus a cuppa for the grown-ups.

These sessions are lead by Mrs Doyle and her BTEC Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care students, and form part of their placement experience.  In addition Year 9 students studying the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in Child Development and Care support the young children in their play.
