Students at Manchester Health Academy are capable of extraordinary things. The potential for happiness and greatness lies in them all, and will mean different things to different students. We can’t change the challenges students will face, what we can do with you is give them the skills so that they are able to deal with them. We can build their resilience! Resilience is being able to bounce back from the stresses and challenges life throws at us. When children are resilient they are braver, more curious, more adaptable.
The great news is that resilience can be nurtured in all children.
We are offering a free six week course at the Academy called ‘BOOST’, starting on Friday 28th September, 10am – 12pm. The course aims to support parents/carers deal with the challenges being a parent brings, for example, help you deal with your child’s behaviour, help you to communicate with your child better, generally helping you with your own confidence and self-esteem and most of all support you to build your child’s resilience.
If you would like to be a part of this fantastic opportunity, in a calm, supportive, non-judgemental environment, completely free of charge, please call the Academy and ask to speak to Sonja Evason, Welfare Leader on 0161 998 3992 or 07980402466.
