Media students had a taste of sound engineering when the Hits Radio Media Bus visited the Academy today.
The Hits Radio Media Bus is a collaboration between Hits Radio and Greater Manchester Higher, an organisation that aims to improve the provision of information, advice and guidance about progression routes to higher education and improved information about the variety of options for learners.
The team talked with students about what their pathways might be after secondary school and why university might be an option for them. The team are all media graduates who have been to universities in the Manchester area, so had plenty of experiences to share. The bus carries sound recording equipment, and students helped to make soundbites for broadcast on Hits Radio about higher education.
Sheri Lawal, Graduate Advisor, said, “Your learners were fantastic! Confident, inquisitive and with great aspirations!”
The bus was also a big hit with students over break time, when music was played into the yard.
