Manchester Health Academy’s Cook, Pearl Farrington, has been recognised for her amazing work in the Academy’s kitchen, in catering management company, T(n)S’s annual employee awards.
Pearl was nominated by Operations Manager, Robbie Patton, for their Employee of the Year award, who said, “Pearl delivers a fantastic service to the students and staff at MHA every day and we have received some really positive feedback. Pearl also delivers great results on Food Safety audits and again, acts pro-actively to ensure the safe delivery of our services. Pearl motivates her team to deliver great service and it is clear that she is very well respected by them all. I am so pleased with her progress and very proud to have her as part of my team in the North West.”
As a finalist, Pearl was presented with a commemorative plaque, champagne and a special cook book. Pearl said, “What an unexpected surprise! I really appreciate being recognised, not just for me, but for my amazing team who work so hard every day.”
T(n)S Catering have been providing the school meal service at Manchester Health Academy since April 2018, when Pearl and other members of the team joined them from the Academy’s former catering provider. Since then, the Academy has seen innovative new menus, special theme days, and changes to the way food is cooked and presented, all overseen by Pearl.
