Having risen to the challenge of completing their secondary school education during the global pandemic, it was a pleasure to welcome our Year 11 students back to the Academy today to collect their GCSE results.
Principal, Mr Green, said, “I am delighted for our students, for whom today brings the end of an anxious wait for their results. They have demonstrated a high level of forbearance and resilience throughout this most unusual of academic years, and their hard work over their five years with us at the Academy has yielded a set of results that will open up doors for them into further education, training and the world of work.
Secondary education is about so much more than exam results – the class of 2020 leave the Academy as a group of young people who have grown into strong, independent, hard-working and inspirational citizens, who have achieved despite the hardest of circumstances. We couldn’t be prouder of them and wish each and every one of them all the very best for the future.”
