Currently, we are unable to hold our usual in-person events due to Coronavirus safety restrictions. We are looking forward to being able to meet our parents and carers in the Academy again soon.
At Manchester Health Academy we believe that the parents and carers of our students play an essential role in their child’s learning. We see you as part of the team around your child while they attend the Academy, both supporting them in their learning and also in making the Academy the best that it can be.
We invite all parents and carers to feedback about their experiences of working with the Academy, and also to become involved with consultations about future plans and developments.
If you would like to become a little more involved, please come to our Parent Forum group. This is a friendly, informal group that meets each term.
Purpose and Aims of the Group

If you would like further information or would like to join the Parent Forum group then please contact Ms Sarah Roche, Business Manager, on 0161 998 3992 or e-mail [email protected]
What do our parents think?
“The meeting was informal, but very informative. You were made to feel that you can discuss things as freely as possible, or to just sit and listen if you prefer” Mrs Foulkes (Parent)
“A good productive meeting last night, it was nice to see some new faces” – Mrs Marshall (Parent Governor)
“I would like to feedback about parent coffee morning and forum. It has enabled me to find out about what is available for parents and students. Having information gained from attending the forum meant my daughter has been able to access pastoral support from Mrs Evason. This has been a major contributor to her settling into the school (she is a year 7 student). It is helpful to have a place to be able to ask general questions and makes me feel connected to the school. I find both the coffee mornings and forum to be well organised, welcoming and friendly.” – Mrs Kerfoot (Parent)
All parents/carers are also welcome to our informal coffee mornings each half term.
A parent who attends the coffee mornings says “Love the coffee mornings and meetings at school as yes you get to meet other parents but they are very informative and help with your child at home and you can discuss any problems.”
The Academy currently has two Parent Governors, Mr Greg Mape and Mrs Helen Bott who are members of our Local Governing Body.
