Individual Careers Advice

We passionately believe that all students can be successful if they show real effort and determination to do their best.  Aspiration is one of our core principles and this includes having high expectations of our students academically.  Good examination results will prepare students to move on to further and higher education, including university and a successful career.

Careers advice is provided for students by Lisa Hutchinson BA (Hons) DipCG PG Counselling & Psychotherapy, a Careers Adviser from Our Futures who work in high schools across Manchester to help inspire and prepare young people for their futures.

Lisa works at Manchester Health Academy on Mondays and Thursdays  in term time.  There are drop-in sessions at break, lunch and after school on these days.  Lisa spends up to an hour with each student in Years 10 and 11 (and Year 8 if required) to help them examine their own skills, ambitions and interests and work towards making a career plan.

Aspire to Be

The Academy has an exciting new careers programme where students can hear from various professionals about their careers, job roles and career paths, Aspire to Be.

Please contact Lisa Hutchinson or Mr Trainor for further information.
