We passionately believe that all students can be successful if they show real effort and determination to do their best.  Aspiration is one of our core principles and this includes having high expectations of our students academically.  Good examination results will prepare students to move on to further and higher education, including university and a successful career.

Careers advice is provided for students by Paula Wroe DipCG MCDI , an Independent Careers Adviser who works at Manchester Health Academy on Tuesdays and Thursdays in term time.  There are drop-in sessions at break, lunch and after school on these days and a careers newsletter is produced periodically.

In a recent survey of 74 Year 11 students, all students said that they would recommend an appointment with Paula.   Some of their comments included:

“I would recommend this to people who are struggling with what they want to do after they leave school.”

“It helps you think about different options.”

“It allowed me to have more of any open mind about what I want to do.”
