At Manchester Health Academy we passionately believe that all students can be successful if they show real effort and determination to do their best.

We celebrate success and applaud effort and determination whenever our students really go ‘the extra mile’ to be the best that they can be. This may be shown in lessons, in clubs, through homework, through helping others or through any contribution to the rich life of our Academy.

Students are issued Pride rewards (credits) which they can use to buy equipment and other items at the student shop which is located in student services. Points are allocated to students in areas such as:

  • Being present and punctual in all lessons
  • Being prepared and polite inside and outside the Academy
  • Participating and making progress in all areas of Academy life
  • And most of all being proud

Green Team awards are also issued at the end of each term to students who have met all targets and made progress. Students receive credits which they can use at the shop or accumulate to buy bigger items at the end of the year.

Three school trips are organised throughout the year. Students will full attendance for the year are invited to attend for the day, trips include the Chill Factor, Blackpool and Alton Towers.

We also hold a number of Award ceremonies at various times throughout the year inviting parents/carers and community officials into our wonderful environment to help us celebrate students achievements. Rewarding effort and determination is at the heart of everything we do here at the Academy.
