Congratulations on receiving an offer of a place at Manchester Health Academy!
National Secondary School Offer Day is Monday 1st March 2021. Offers of places are made by Manchester City Council. When you receive an offer of a place for your child, you will need to telephone the school to accept the place.
They will take your details and add your child to our list for 2021 entry.
We offer an annual transition programme that normally provides opportunities for you and your child to meet Academy teachers and support staff, to visit the Academy, and to meet the students from other schools who will be in their form when they start.
We are currently waiting on the government’s phased of lifting lockdown before confirming dates, but hope to be able to offer as many in-person opportunities to you and your child as we can between now and their first day in secondary school.
We know that getting secondary education off to a flying start can make a big difference to your child’s educational journey.
We employ a dedicated Transition Teacher, Miss Schofield, who works with your child in their primary school during Year 6, continuing to work with them through the first term of Year 7. This member of staff gets to know your child, their strengths and challenges before they start at the Academy, and provides continuity once they join us.
If you have any questions about Moving Up From Year 6, just ask our Transition Teacher, Karen Schofield. E-mail your questions to Karen at [email protected]
