Congratulations on receiving an offer of a place at Manchester Health Academy!
National Secondary School Offer Day is Monday 1st March 2021. Offers of places are made by Manchester City Council. When you receive an offer of a place for your child, you will need to telephone the school to accept the place.
They will take your details and add your child to our list for 2021 entry.
Usually, our dedicated Transition Teacher would be working with Year 6 children in our local primary schools from January to Easter. They would use that time getting to know your child, their strengths, and challenges before they start in September. They would then continue to work with them during their first term at MHA: providing that continuity and a familiar face during their first year at secondary school.
As part of our transition programme Year 6 children would usually spend their Transition Day at MHA with their current primary school teacher and receive lessons from their future secondary teachers. During the Transition Evening, parents/carers would be able to visit the school, speak with staff and even try the food. However, all of this is currently subject to change, due to ever evolving government guidelines concerning Covid-19. We are working hard to make sure that you and your child are happy and confident despite these restrictions, and that you both feel confident in time for September.
If you have any questions about Moving Up From Year 6, just ask our Transition Teacher, Karen Schofield. E-mail your questions to Karen at [email protected]
