Salary: Grade 4 £17,225 (point 7) to £18,645 (point 11) per annum - actual salary to reflect term time working.
35 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week (i.e. 39 weeks per academic year)
We currently have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant to support the learning of students with additional or special educational needs in lessons and in small intervention groups.
What we’re looking for
Suitable candidates will have previous experience of working with children/young people in an educational setting. You must be able to co-ordinate and organise resources effectively and possess the ability to motivate students, acting as a positive role model for individuals and groups of students.
As a member of the Academy’s Student Support Team you will support our students to achieve their challenging targets. Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we have recently completed a further £10 million expansion project.
