The Manchester Health Academy is one of seven brand new sponsored academies who opened in September 2009 and 2010, as part of a programme to transform educational provision within selected communities across Manchester. Each academy is linked to one of the major future growth sectors of the city’s economy. This distinctive approach allows the Academy’s leadership to draw upon the skills and expertise of our sponsors and other stakeholders, and with strong governance and accountability, we are able to ensure that educational standards and achievement is raised.

" The management of staff performance is robust; links between performance and salary progression are strong. Staff are highly supportive of the academy’s leadership. Comments such as, ‘There is a massive team ethos and a community feeling within the staff’, and, ‘I am extremely proud to be a member of staff at MHA’, are typical of those expressed by staff during the inspection.” Ofsted 2015
