Working for us

Academies are designed to raise expectations and standards of achievement, and to help young people progress into further education or secure good employment opportunities. At the Manchester Health Academy (MHA), that is exactly what we aim to do, and with high expectations, ambition and positive attitudes we’ve made great improvements.

Our main sponsor is the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and our co-sponsor is Manchester City Council. Together we provide a unique set of strategies and opportunities to support our students on their journey towards success. We provide a safe environment in which students develop the skills and attitudes essential for further study and employment and a curriculum which is enriched through the active involvement of our sponsors. This, together with the support of Manchester United Foundation and other partners, puts Manchester Health Academy at the forefront of developments in sport science and health related subjects, underpinned by a real and relevant curriculum.

Our 21st century state of the art building provides a stimulating environment with excellent learning resources and technology, and under the direction of a strong leadership team and supportive governing body we are on track to success. Employing around 100 staff all with talents and abilities in a wide range of specialist areas from teaching staff to senior leaders and other support staff such as site staff, IT staff etc.; everyone here is part of delivering something exceptional for our students – and we’re proud to be working together.

We are always looking for new people to join our team who can bring passion, expertise and commitment to help us achieve our goals.  In return for your dedication and enthusiasm we offer a stimulating, supportive working environment and a commitment to your ongoing professional and personal development.
